Wildfire Deployment Requirements


Contact us today if you have the following requirements so that you are ready for deployment when the fires strike. If you need a certification, recertification or upgrading we will train you.

Driver Requirements:

First Aid Attendant Requirements:

  • Have a valid Class 4 British Columbia Driver’s Licence or equivalent;
  • Have a valid OFA1 with Transportation Endorsement or WorkSafe BC accepted equivalent first aid certificate;
  • Valid S-100 Basic Fire Suppression sand Safety or equivalent (annual re-currency);
  • Be physically capable of working in steep rough terrain carrying heavy loads and have no physical limitations that would prevent the attendant from carrying out their work on uneven terrain with obstacles and/or other difficulties;
  • Ensure clothing is not susceptible to catching fire or melting (natural fibres such as wool or cotton should be worn);
  • Carry personal gear such as work boots and rain gear;
  • Be prepared to stay in remote camps for periods up to 14 days;
  • Be prepared for potential encounters with wildlife.

  • Be prepared to use a helicopter as an ETV.
