Gitxsan Development Corporation took part in Hazelton’s Annual Pioneer Day event and placed 3rd in the parade. GDC chose to highlight the Career Discoveries program, a Gitxsan Development Corporation initiative for youth, and used their slogan “My Future, My Choice”.
The Career Discoveries students, along with staff, dressed in the various jobs & training that GDC offers: TCP, medics, security, logging, heavy equipment operators, chefs, carpenters and office workers.
It was a fun event that we were proud to take part in!
